CEIBG Organized the First Participation of Bulgarian Companies in TERRATEC and ENERTEC Trade Fairs

The Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG) together with the International Dialogue Center Environment and Development (IDCED), Magdeburg organized the visit of a delegation of 20 members taking part with a separate stand in the specialized fairs for environmental technology and environmental services –TERRATEC, and for energy efficiency –ENERTEC held in Leipzig, Germany from 5 to 11 March 2007.

The delegation was led by the Executive Director of CEIBG Mr. Evgenii Ivanov who is also a member of the IDCED Advisory Council. It consisted of representatives of big CEIBG member-companies such as KCM S.A., Overgas Inc., Overgas Holding, Kaolin AD, Elatzite Med AD, Assarel Medet AD, Biotal Bulgaria OOD, as well as ViK companies from Plovdiv, Silistra, Shumen and Razgrad.

During the two specialized meetings at the Congress Center of the Leipzig Trade Fair and Marktplatz der Maerkte KCM S.A. and Assarel Medet presented their developments in the field of ecology and waste processing in ore output and non-ferrous metallurgy.

The delegation visited the Training and Demonstration Centre for Decentralised Sewage Treatment in Leipzig /BDZ/, the municipal waste managing company in Halle and the waste incineration power station in Magdeburg, where a good European practice in waste management is displayed. All participants received certificates of IDCED.

Thanks to the beneficial cooperation between CEIBG and IDCED the real opportunity to make use of a good know-how in the field of waste management was provided. A business delegation from the Saxony-Anhalt district will visit Bulgaria in June, in order to establish cooperation with CEIBG member companies in the environmental and energy efficiency sector.
