A public event will be organized in Kyustendil to present the possibilities for European financing of projects. The "Transition of Opportunities - Kyustendil" conference will bring together all interested parties from the region, which is one of the three most affected by the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.
The conference is part of the "Transition of Opportunities" project (Transition Opportunities, with the acronym TOP), financed with European funds under the EU cohesion policy.
About the conference
The "Transition of Opportunities - Kyustendil" conference will be held on April 18 at the Strimon Hotel, 24 Tsar Simeon I Street, 2500, Kyustendil. Registration for the event will begin at 10.00:10.30 a.m. and the official opening is scheduled for XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. There is no entry fee to attend, with pre-registration here.
The conference will be attended by representatives of the central, local and municipal administrations, the governing bodies of various financing programs, the Fund of Funds, representatives of employers and trade unions, as well as business and non-governmental organizations. We also invite the general public to familiarize themselves with all the possibilities for financing projects.
They will provide clarity on the upcoming changes related to the transformation to a carbon neutral economy in Kyustendil and explain the existing opportunities for obtaining funding. The special focus will be on financing projects in the context of the implementation of the Territorial Plan for a Just Transition.
Within the framework of the event, the results of a sociological survey prepared by the Research Center "Trend" on behalf of "Brand Media Bulgaria" will be presented, which shows the level of awareness of local citizens about the cohesion policy, the Just Transition Fund and the Recovery Plan of Europe and identify what are the needs and concerns of people in the Kyustendil region, in view of the upcoming changes.
About the project
The aim of the "Transition of Opportunities" project is to publicize the contribution of the European Union's Cohesion Policy, the Just Transition Fund and the European Recovery Plan to ensure a smooth and fair transition to a climate-neutral economy of the Bulgarian regions, who will be most affected by the transformation.
