skorost.info - DISCORDIA launches an innovative Academy for inexperienced drivers
Published: 16.04.2024/14/15 XNUMX:XNUMX
Own innovative Academy for drivers without experience launched DISCORDIA - the leader in the transport and logistics sector in Bulgaria and one of the leading companies in Europe
Since the start of the initiative half a year ago, the company has successfully trained over 150 students. This testifies both to the great interest in the Academy on the part of inexperienced drivers, and to the significant success and importance of the undertaking.
The main idea for launching the project is a result of DISCORDIA's strategic goal of creating highly professional personnel in the field of international transport, as well as changing the attitude of the general public towards the profession of "International Driver".
The goal of the Academy is clear and practical – to attract and prepare personnel, regardless of their experience, and to successfully integrate them into the profession – a professional international driver. The program focuses on increasing the skills, motivation and competence of drivers, in accordance with the high standards that DISCORDIA imposes and demands.
The Academy accepts any willing candidate who has a C+E category, a certificate of professional competence for the relevant categories and a digital card. There is no age limit for applying, and the capabilities of each participant are assessed individually.
"Through the Driver Academy, we have the opportunity to share our experience and professional skills with future international drivers completely free of charge. Given the great shortage of personnel in this profession, not only in Bulgaria, but also throughout Europe, we are even more motivated to support the creation of new highly qualified personnel on the market," said Georgi Kolev, supervisor of trainers at the DISCORDIA Driver Academy.
Training at the Academy includes theory based on DISCORDIA's rich experience of more than 30 years in the field of international transport, as well as practical exercises on the road in real conditions. The Academy's instructor team is made up of proven professionals with significant professional experience both behind the wheel and in personnel training. After the successful completion of the theoretical part, the drivers also take an international practical course with a mentor from the company, which lasts 2-3 weeks, according to the needs of the candidate. After training and successfully passing an exam, drivers can immediately start working as independent international drivers with DISCORDIA.
A new training group starts every week in the DISCORDIA Driver Academy. Drivers from different cities and nearby countries (Turkey, Serbia and Romania) can participate, and the company provides a free stay during the theoretical part in the base of the parking lot and, if necessary, a translator. The training is completely free of charge and does not require previous professional experience on the part of the participants. After completing the course, candidates are certified and are not bound by a contract with the company, however, over 90% start working at DISCORDIA.
The training process at the DISCORDIA Academy is carried out with the latest generation Euro 6 tractors from the Scania, Volvo and DAF brands and the latest Krone, Kogel and Schmitz trailers.
The DISCORDIA Driver Academy is located at 6 Nedelcho Bonchev St. in Sofia, located in the Escos administrative building.

Published: 17.04.2024/01/04 XNUMX:XNUMX
Business representatives express pessimistic expectations about raising wages in 2024. This is shown by the results of the traditional online survey of the members of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (BCC), conducted among 784 micro, small, medium and large enterprises from the whole country and from all sectors of our economy.
The reason is the decline in production and sales in our country and on foreign markets. According to the results of the traditional online survey of the members of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, there are risks to the native economy in the expected growth of prices and inflation, the fiscal and regulatory burden, as well as in the cost of labor. 67% expect the slowdown in global growth to have a negative impact on theirs business indicators in 2024. Almost half of the respondents employers plan to increase their production volume. Only 1/3 of businesses plan to increase investment in new capacity.
Serious pessimism u the employers there is in relation to European regulations in the field of ecology, from which 56% expect a negative impact. The expectation of a rise in prices and, more specifically, the cost of labor drives most employers to include salary growth in their plans.
The biggest obstacles to business, according to the survey participants, are the lack of labor, bureaucracy, regulatory burden and frequently changing regulations. The next most important problems are corruption, inefficient judicial system, low quality of administrative service and insufficient number of administrative electronic services.
Every third respondent singles out the instilling of negativity towards business as a problem, for every fourth the problem is the gray economy, and for 15% – the state of the infrastructure.
With regard to the workforce, after the momentary decline in 2020, the trend is again towards growth in the demand for personnel, mostly for executive staff and narrow specialists to a lesser extent for administrative and management personnel.

invest-in-bulgaria.com - New chapter in the Labor Code: KNSB wants changes for correct payment
Published: 17.04.2024/01/10 XNUMX:XNUMX
In response to the upcoming transposition of the European directive on minimum wages, the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (KNSB) proposes ambitious changes to the Labor Code.
Among the changes is the introduction of a new chapter dedicated entirely to labor remuneration, which aims to establish clearer rules for the formation of wages in the country.
According to the KNSB's proposals, two new minimum wage values based on the educational level of workers should be introduced - one for persons with secondary education and another for those with higher education. These figures would be higher than the national minimum wage (MW), which currently applies to low-skilled labour.
The president of KNSB, Plamen Dimitrov, emphasized the need for legislative strengthening of collective wage bargaining at the branch level, quoted by Pariteni. He called for the negotiation of starting wages for the 85 economic activities defined by the national classifier, with an emphasis on the main jobs and occupations.
Dimitrov also pointed out that in order to ensure the adequacy of minimum wages, it is necessary to periodically measure them against the means needed to support life. He recalled that the International Labor Organization (ILO) has already adopted a definition of a living wage and that the methodology for its calculation must be developed at the national level.
The proposals of KNSB have already been submitted for discussion with the employers, with the deadline for transposition of the directive being November 15, 2024. The changes envisaged by the directive will lead to additional rights for workers and obligations for the employers, related to collective wage bargaining, which could require changes in at least five laws.
In addition, Dimitrov emphasized the importance of protecting the right to unionize, as well as the implementation of the Transparent Pay Directive, which will contribute to pay transparency in Bulgaria and help prevent wage distortions between men and women.
These proposals are part of the wider efforts of the National Security Council to improve working conditions and guarantee fair remuneration for all workers in Bulgaria.
