"Bulgarian industry has a very high potential to partner with NASA in high technology and artificial intelligence. And Bill Nelson's visit to our country confirms it. It was a pleasure and an honor for me to meet the administrator of the American Space Agency as a representative of the established Bulgarian business and KRIB". This was written by the chairman of KRIB Kiril Domuschiev in his profile on the social network Facebook.
Bill Nelson arrived on a visit to Bulgaria on Monday, after at the end of last year our country became the 32nd country to join NASA's Artemis Accords. The international cooperation on Artemis aims to support the exploration of space for peaceful purposes.
"Nelson is in our country a year after our country became part of "Artemis" - the agreement on strategic international partnership in the field of space technologies and the exploration of the Moon and Mars. The former astronaut, part of the crew of the shuttle "Columbia" in 1986, shared his confidence that we live in a golden age for space exploration and that Bulgaria has serious opportunities to become a "space economy" - to develop space technology and science, and even if it has its own new astronaut," added Kiril Domuschiev after the meeting with the head of NASA, Bill Nelson.
