The CEO of DSK Bank, a member of KRIB, Ms. Violina Marinova received a certificate and plaque for long-term donor support of SOS Children's Villages from the national executive director, Mr. Plamen Stoyanov.
On June 30, SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria celebrated the 25th anniversary of its establishment. Nearly 1000 donors and friends of the organization were present at the Sofia Live Club for the award ceremony and the special anniversary edition of the popular Tales Mailbox with Geri Turijska.
During the awarding ceremony, Ms. Violina Marinova thanked for the honor and recalled that the achievements of children raised in such a family environment clearly indicate the direction of development in the future, namely the general aspiration to create comfort for their development together and to make our country a more welcoming place to live and the expression of children's potential.
For five years now, the cooperation between DSK Bank and SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria - a social development organization that guarantees the right of every child to grow up in a family, to have an equal chance for development and a future - has been going on. As part of its Corporate SOS Parent mission, DSK Bank has made a lasting commitment to take care of two families in which children are growing up without the support of their parents - one each in the SOS children's villages in Tryavna and in Dren.
The families that DSK Bank has "adopted" are special for SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria - these are SOS families where the children are cared for by SOS married couples. The Bank's assistance, as one of the major corporate donors, is aimed at providing funds for food, clothing, shoes, school supplies, cleaning and laundry products, toys and medicines for children. But not only that - within the framework of the sponsorship, a number of initiatives continue to be planned, which enable the Bank and its employees to strengthen a positive relationship with children, becoming empathetic to their needs, to the problems of their development and growth, so that they can experience fully enjoy their childhood and have a chance for a successful future.
