R E G L A M E N T
ON THE ORGANIZATION AND ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMITTEES TO THE MANAGEMENT BOARD OF KRIB
  1. The committees are auxiliary bodies to the Management Board of KRIB according to the Statute of the Confederation.
  2. They are created and closed by decision of the Board of Directors.
  3. The committees have advisory functions in a specific area of ​​economic activity and unite representatives of the commercial companies and associations, members of the Confederation, having a subject of activity related to the relevant economic activity. Committees are open structures and all KRIB members who wish to participate in their work, even those who have a different subject of activity.
  4. Committees, by assignment of the Board of Directors or on their own initiative:
    • discuss problems related to the development of relations in the activity;
    • propose to the Management Board draft decisions regarding proposals to the competent state bodies on strategic issues, principled positions and the implementation of the necessary policy;
    • propose to the Management Board the undertaking of legislative and/or other normative changes leading to the improvement of the activity in the sector;
    • propose to the Management Board to initiate meetings with other employers outside KRIB, as well as with social partners, if there is a proven need to unify positions related to the committee's field of action;
    • discuss together with other committees of KRIB the need for a common position to be proposed for the approval of the Management Board;
    • perform other tasks assigned to them by the Management Board.
  5. Committees are chaired by chairpersons who have the authority to schedule, convene, and conduct committee meetings.
  6. To facilitate the operational activity, co-chairmen or vice-chairmen may be elected to perform the functions of the chairman simultaneously with him or by substitution.
  7. Committees take their decisions by consensus. In the event that this is not possible, problematic issues are submitted for final resolution to the Management Board.
  8. The above rules also refer to the structure and activity of the "ad hoc" committees at the KRIB, and the Management Board may introduce additional requirements in accordance with the tasks and objectives of the relevant committee.

This Regulation was adopted by Decision of May 18, 2016. of the Management Board of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria /KRIB/ - The Voice of Bulgarian Business.

The committee was established in March 2012 by a decision of the Board of Directors of KRIB. The activities of the Health Committee are focused on the following priorities: the financial framework of the national health insurance system; the production and distribution of generic drugs; the functioning of medical institutions; health insurance; electronic healthcare and the use of innovative IT methods in the sector; activity in the field of safe and healthy working conditions.

The committee was established in September 2012 with the following main objectives: to promote the development of security, continuity and sustainable business development; to be a platform for the exchange of ideas and information in the security sector, including physical, cyber and information security; to prepare proposals for legislative changes regarding business security and present them to the Management Board of KRIB; to provide members of the Confederation with data on the current status of security systems.

The Committee was updated on January 22, 2015. The main activities of the Committee are aimed at discussing and preparing positions regarding the development of the energy sector in Bulgaria and EU policies, including improving the current legislation and regulatory regimes, increasing competitiveness and stimulating investments.

The ICT and e-Government Committee was renamed the ICT Committee in May 2013. The main goals of the ICT Committee are: to work for the development of the ICT business in the country, focusing mainly on development strategies and programs; to be a platform for the exchange of ideas between companies from the ICT sector, members of KRIB. The committee prepares and presents to the Board of Directors of KRIB proposals concerning legislative and practical problems in the sector.

The committee was established on June 22, 2017 with the main priority of providing the KRIB Management Board with reasoned proposals for positions on: vocational secondary education, the introduction of innovations and a rating system in secondary education, the relationship between business and local government, the creation of platforms for communication with young people, conducting specialized meetings with the competent state institutions, the lack of personnel for business and the search for a joint solution with secondary and higher schools, improving the status of the Bulgarian teacher, etc.

The ESG committee will work to inform business about regulations and innovations related to sustainable development, to support both large and small and medium-sized enterprises in their transformation. The committee will organize trainings, seminars and initiatives related to ESG practices, as well as support the more effective implementation of sustainability principles in investment strategies.
